Posisi Sepakbola Indonesia Diantara Agama, Politik, dan Lain-lainnya

"Maaf, misa mingguan besok di Katedral akan dibatalkan, karena akan dipakai untuk turnamen futsal". Apa kira-kira respons masyarakat, terutama umat Katolik akan pemberitahuan tersebut?

Hal yang sama terjadi kepada tim kebanggaan ibukota Persija Jakarta saat ditolak oleh pengelola stadion Gelora Bung Karno untuk melangsungkan pertandingan melawan Persik Kediri dengan alasan bahwa stadion keramat itu akan dipergunakan untuk kegiatan keagamaan. Apa seharusnya diijinkan juga menyelenggarakan sebuah pertandingan sepakbola di Mesjid Istiqlal ?

Inipun bukan pertama kalinya gagalnya Persija maupun Timnas Indonesia untuk beraksi di stadion kebanggaan bangsa itu, dan bukan hanya tersandung ijin polisi, ataupun terkendala kegiatan politik maupun agama, tapi bahkan oleh sebuah promosi obat cina yang sempat menimbulkan kekhawatiran tuan rumah saat menjelang penyelenggaraan turnamen terbesar di Asia 2 tahun silam.

Saya tidak bermaksud menolak acara-acara non-sepakbola yang dilangsungkan di stadion sepakbola, walaupun menurut saya akan lebih baik jika setiap tempat digunakan sesuai tujuannya, tetapi dengan alasan kapasitas tidak jarang yang menggunakan stadion-stadion olahraga untuk acara-acara seperti konser, kebaktian, dll, tetapi itu pula diselenggarakan dengan jadwal yang jelas dan teratur. Tidak mungkin jadwal final Piala FA di Wembley ditunda karena adanya konser musik, ataupun jadwal pertandingan Liga Italia di San Siro diundur karena sebuah pertandingan tinju. Tidak terorganisirnya jadwal dan prioritas merupakan satu kendala besar yang dialami oleh persepakbolaan Indonesia, hal-hal yang seharusnya dapat diatur, direncanakan dan dibereskan secara sempurna saat masa pra-musim malah menjadi suatu rolling event yang harus terus menerus dilakukan tiap minggunya, seperti perihal masalah ijin pertandingan. Entah salah Badan Liga Indonesia (BLI), PSSI, pengelola stadion, Polri, ataupun klub itu sendiri, tetapi kemungkinan besar hal ini terjadi dikarenakan oleh minimnya komunikasi ataupun sikap saling menunda antara semua pihak.

Persija Jakarta masih beruntung untuk dapat menggunakan stadion kebanggaan lama mereka yang tak kunjung direnovasi oleh pemerintah, Lebak Bulus. Tetapi bagaimana jika itu terjadi kepada klub-klub lain yang hanya memiliki satu stadion?

Mungkin publik dan pemerintah belum menyadarinya atau sekedar menganggapnya sebagai sesuatu yang tidak penting di tengah gejolak dalam negeri. Tetapi tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa sejarah pernah menulis kalau Sepakbola adalah salah satu alat politik yang terkuat, dan bagi banyak orang Sepakbola pun menjadi satu agama yang mereka peluk dengan setia sampai mati. Jadi tolong, Saya mohon, jangan menjadikan kepentingan Sepakbola berada dibawah kepentingan politik dan agama, apalagi hanya sebuah kepentingan satu perusahaan untuk mempromosikan barang dagangannya.
